Latest Updates to the Noise Guard System

Noise Guard is being developed with a clear goal: to enable reliable noise monitoring and to provide tools that help users better understand what is happening in the environment and make informed decisions. The latest updates expand monitoring to new noise sources, introduce additional ways to engage users, and improve data visibility that is essential for analysis and reporting.

Below is an overview of the main new features and their practical benefits.

Flight Tracker

Monitoring air traffic and its impact

Noise Guard now also supports air traffic monitoring. This new functionality enables real-time tracking of aircraft, including their flight paths, altitude, speed, identification, and links this information with noise measurements.

The system allows calculation of noise for individual aircraft events (SEL) and provides a clear visualization of flight paths on a map, giving users deeper insight into the impact of air traffic on the environment. This functionality provides important support for data interpretation and report preparation in environments where air traffic is a significant noise factor.

Survey

Structured collection of feedback in the measurement environment

The Survey functionality enables simple and structured collection of user feedback directly in the environment where noise measurements are taking place. Within Noise Guard, you can create customizable forms and automatically generate QR codes that can be shared or placed near the measurement terminal.

Users can submit their opinions about the acoustic environment, noise perception, or other relevant aspects through these forms. Thanks to the flexibility of the forms, this functionality is also effectively used for collecting complaints, where a clear data structure, time definition, and event traceability are important.

All submitted responses are automatically stored within Noise Guard, where they can be reviewed alongside measurements and used as additional support for analysis and communication with stakeholders.

Extended Data View

More information directly in tables

For projects where fast and clear access to data is essential, Noise Guard now enables tabular display of frequency (CPB) analysis directly alongside measurements. Users can choose which frequency bands they want to monitor and which weighting to apply.

In addition, second-by-second values can now be displayed in a table, where minutes are broken down into individual seconds. This view allows more detailed insight into rapid noise changes and easier comparison of data across time intervals, without the need to switch between charts.

Redesigned Microphone for IoT Terminals

To ensure reliable operation in outdoor environmental conditions, we have improved the microphone design for IoT terminals. The microphone features a redesigned housing and a special membrane that prevents water ingress while still allowing unobstructed sound transmission.

This design provides better equipment protection and more stable system operation in long-term measurement projects, where reliability is critical.

Advanced Notifications

More control over important events

The notification system in Noise Guard has been expanded with additional customization options. Users can configure notifications based on different measurement values or frequency bands and define whether notifications are triggered by repeated exceedances or based on average values over a selected time period.

This approach enables more meaningful notifications, fewer unwanted alerts, and better focus on events that truly matter for a specific project.

Noise Guard

A platform for advanced noise monitoring

With these new features, Noise Guard continues to evolve into a comprehensive noise monitoring platform that connects measurements, analysis, user feedback, and decision support. The system is designed to adapt to a wide range of needs; from small local projects to complex measurement networks.
